Both Mullin and Leitao don’t necessarily have the win totals yet to inspire confidence BUT Leitao and Mullin have BOUGHT TIME because they both have finally secured recruits that have appeal.

DePaul and St John’s can’t afford to let those recruits off the line. I see them both getting extended.

Outside of that, many of the present coaches are young to this profession. Ewing, Jordan, and Steele, are relative babies and those jobs are locked up for the foreseeable future. None of those schools can afford to switch horses midstream.

I think Cooley, Willard, Wojo, and McDermott, are similar level coaches. They haven’t really approached elite coach status, yet, and are doing enough to stave off the dreaded “hot seat”.

Jay Wright is in a league of his own. He is in no danger of getting pushed off his perch in this conference. Zero chance of that happening.

So, I think it’s safe to say this collection of coaches will be around for awhile. There is only one coach in the conference who will be on anyone’s list - and it’s not likely Wright will go anywhere.

But, if something bizarre happened, these are some coaches who may make the list.

DePaul - Moser, Mark Aguirre (because why not)
St John’s - Oats, Odom, John Becker
Seton Hall - Becker, Masiello, Pikiell
Providence - David Cox, Becker
Butler - Micah Shrewsberry, Ryan Pedon
Marquette - Rick Stansbury, Steve Alford
Creighton - Hoiberg, Chris Jans
Villanova - Ash Howard, Baker Dunleavy
Xavier - Luke Murray, Mike Pegues
Georgetown - Shaka Smart, Mike Rhoades
