Hoyas beat DePaul, lose to Marquette and win one in the tourney and I feel like that has got to be enough to get in.

Even so, maybe you can crank the OOC schedule up just a notch next year Hoyas. Program clearly trending up, a potential 20 win Georgetown really shouldn't be this bubbly.

I know tonight hurts, but the Hall I watched beat Kentucky was a damn well-oiled machine.

Hoyas will play in the 2K classic with Duke, Texas, and Cal
@ SMU
In theory a Gavitt game
In theory a B12 challenge game
In talks with Memphis for a game
Hopefully the Syracuse game gets renewed

should be a much better schedule.

The team you watched beat Kentucky got beat like a drum for 35 minutes before Myles Powell turned into Steph Curry for the last 5. It's the same story every game, just a matter of whether or not the hole is too big for Powell to single handedly pull the team out of.

Not a great day for our bubble teams. Butler appears dead. Seton Hall is now faced with do or die. Win one of the next two, or go home. St. John's better take care of business tomorrow, or they will no longer be in a safe spot. UCF beating Houston, and Utah St. beating Nevada is very bad as both have now gone from being on the bubble, to being safely in the field (at least for now). That's two spots that might have become available, that might now be out of reach. Memphis having the AAC tourney at home is now worrisome, as they are playing much better, and are dangerous at home. Could be a bid thief. VCU has gone from a bubble team, to safely in the field, which means the A10 could produce a bid thief. The PAC12 is another potential bid stealer.

I'd add to that Indiana and Texas getting wins... Not quite the impact of the Utah St and UCF wins, but long term, could be just as devastating.

Indiana is only 15-14, but with Illinois and Rutgers left. If they win those 2 they are 17-14 and would have a win and in type of thing in 1st rd of the Big Ten tourney in a 7/10 or 8/9 type of game.

Texas is 16-13 with games left @ Texas Tech and TCU. Split and they are 17-14 as well and in the 3/6 or 4/5 game. Another win and in situation....

Another compounding thing for today is with UCF- they now should remain top 30, so if Temple can beat them next weekend, that'd be a Q1 win for Temple, which should get them in the tourney.

wasn't all bad: Hoyas won and helped their case. Bubble teams like Ohio st, Clemson, NC state, St. Mary's, TCU, Albama, Baylor, Ole Miss, Mississippi st, and Florida all lost.
