I'm predicting a first round match up with either Texas or Stanford.

This field is seriously lacking talented teams. Only one surefire good team (UNC). Bama just got oats, Texas is losing freshman to nba and transfers, Davidson is ok, Stanford sucks.UNLV sucks and Indiana they might be good.

Jeesh, what a wet blanket.
Like kayako said, it's for the 2021 season.
And it's in Maui so the weather will be good and there'll be hula dancers.

On a side note, PC has played in a couple of early Maui's. We actually won the first one in 1984. Then in 1991 with Rick Barnes we lost to Chaminade, but we had lost a bunch of seniors. Weird that in 2012 Rick Barnes lost again to Chaminade, with Texas. Chaminade only plays now in [edit, thx gtmo] odd-numbered years.

According to the article Chaminade plays in the odd numbered years. Prov should be safe from the upset.

one thing that could be really interesting with this tournament is you never know if this could be part of the 1st season without Roy Williams on the sideline for UNC.... Very possible.

On paper, it's not the best field. But Alabama should be good in year 2 for Oats, Indiana would be in year 4 for Miller, maybe the coach from South Dakota St can get UNLV turned around, etc.

And even if it's not the best field, it's still Maui pre-Thanksgiving. For folks from RI, that's a pretty good alternative- where the average high is right around 50 and the average low is freezing. Compare that to Maui.
