A couple of forced shots but great otherwise. Hopefully he's not injured in any shape or form.

Putting on a clinic now, guess graduating was MP’s main motivation, dudes a complete class act.

I see a lot of cohesiveness, I think (especially without Brazil) the Big East might get the USAs first gold medal in the Pan Am in 30 years, (not since Mullin and Jordan)

It's a treat that we get this during the most boring time of the year for college basketball fans. We'll see how they stack up against experienced national teams, but I'll certainly be rooting hard for them (i'm not even american lol).

It looks to me like the starters will be Powell, Alexander, Heron, Diallo, and one of the centers. But Cooley will have to manage the minutes well if they'll be playing every day.

Here’s the write up from Omaha:

Creighton's Ty-Shon Alexander helps lead United State team to exhibition win
By Jon Nyatawa / World-Herald staff writer 38 min ago 0

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — Creighton junior Ty-Shon Alexander made four 3-pointers during an exhibition game Wednesday, helping a Big East all-star team earn a 102-64 win in preparation for next week’s Pan American Games in Peru.

Alexander will be one of 12 players with Big East ties teaming up to represent the United States in the Pan Am Games, a multi-sport event that takes place every four years. He and his teammates began training in Rhode Island last week.

Wednesday’s exhibition (against a collection of college-aged players from the East Coast) served as a chance for the Pan Am team to showcase its progress.

Alexander was one of the bright spots. He finished with 12 points Wednesday, the third-most on the squad. He added four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 17 minutes.

Former Creighton big man Geoffrey Groselle, who’s been playing overseas for the last three years, was also nominated for a spot on the Pan Am roster. He earned a start Wednesday and scored six points. Seton Hall senior Myles Powell led the team with 18 points.

The U.S. Pan Am team will travel to Lima, Peru, this weekend. Competition begins Wednesday with a pool play match-up against the U.S. Virgin Islands. The U.S. plays Venezuela on Aug. 1 and Puerto Rico on Aug. 2.

Off year Panam Games have not traditionally treated the USA well. Our team also is not a top tier USA team - as most recent Panam teams have not consisted of top tier players. Both Venezuela (with Gregory Echenique & Grevius Vasquez, others) and Puerto Rico are well coached, very experienced in international play, and field exceptional teams. I expect Venezuela to beat this particular USA team. Venezuela was very good in the last summer Olympics (2016).

Echenique is possibly why they chose Groselle, they battled in Bluejays practices for a couple years. Groselle wasn’t healthy but I believe Ech dominated him. Might be an interesting twist
