3. St. John's Red Storm

Again, St. John's was another mediocre team last season, but they are also a school with a ton of basketball history. The Red Storm have the ninth-most victories in NCAA history, with 1,854 to date. They also averaged an insane amount of fans last season. St. John's averaged just under 10,000 per game this season, but they play at two venues. The first being a 5,600-person Carnesecca Arena, the second being Madison Square Garden, which holds just under 20,000 fans for basketball games. St. John's averaged more than 18,000.

Johnnies fans are passionate for sure. And they’ve had some bad teams so it’s hard to judge them on an equal basis. We’ve played many a game in a pretty empty carnessecca, which theoretically shouldn’t be hard to fill, but they also haven’t been very good. I will say they came back in force for even a semi decent team last year. Our game at St. John’s last year was a lot of fun. They were ready to rip someone’s head off. Ponds tried to with Scruggs! Ha and the refs were not spared either

Mac already has a 2-3 year extension. got it 1 to 2 years ago. We're screwed unless he can get over the hump in wins and stop choking in close games and the NCAAs.
Fortunately with the new "Campaign for coaching" we should've raised enough money to cover a new coaching hire (when coupled with what we're already spending.).
However, it will take another 2014-15 dumpster fire to raise the heaton him...unless the NCAA sacrifices little CU for Arizona and Kansas' sins.
