I love that we ended the weekend on a high note (16 straight!) ahead of the longest break in the season. Should be a warm Christmas for everyone.

Despite a Herculean effort, 52% shooting, and stalwart defense, little Xavier had to withstand a valiant comeback effort by Big 12 juggernaut TCU. With a raucous crowd in a frenzy, the mighty Toads refused to submit. The game in which the Muskies has controlled from the tip-off, was suddenly under 10 points as X continually fouled, turned the ball over, and missed free throws. Winning by 8. TCU held X to 2 points over the final 4 minutes of the game.

Way to “get ready” for Nova. Great game Xuper!

There was no raucuous crowd - 6445
We were up 16 when Steele took out Jones (DD 18/14) and inserted two freshmen.
We were a 2 pt. underdog and won by 8 - duh
We shot 47% from 3 and the great 3 pt. shooting team had 30%
Toads shot a meaningless 3 buzzer beater at the end while X was pretty much going home for Christmas.
The team finally showed some guts and came out strong.

Great job X! Sneaky good TCU team you just beat.

It's the kind of team you love to play on the road because it's definitely a winnable game yet a win would look pretty nice on the resume. I hope they stay in the top 75 to end up as a Q1 win.
