Most interesting part of the Star-Ledger article was the 65-35 split info. Some of the other articles seemed to suggest that the C7 was leaving most of $100 million on the table to have the split effective this year. This article says that, at most, the C7 would have gotten $35 million of the $100 million, so they're giving up much less than suggested to move on early.

The conf gets roughly 250k for every game played by their conf teams in the last 6 tourneys. The units belong to the conf and not the team. Play for a title and thats 6 shares to the conf for each of the next 6 years. (This is why Butlers back to back appearances were HUGE for the Horizon!) How it is split is determined by the conference. I know the Valley splits it into 11 shares. 2 for the team that played and 1 for each of the other 9.

Xavier has 14 credits that it earned on its own over the past 5 years. The rest of the A-10 combined has earned 12.

Funny that X has to leave all of those 14 credits behind in total, lose it's share of the other twelve (which adds up to a bit under $2 million) then pay another $2 million for the privilege of leaving them behind for Fordham to enjoy.

And not even a lovely parting gift.

and i think your numbers are wrong, The rest of the A-Ten has earned more than 13 credits since '09 let alone going back 6 years
