You can't seriously believe that, can you? One built the likes over years on fans of the Big East while one has had less than a week to gather likes. The first sentences in this thread spell it out.

I thought facebook was going out of style.... then again i did post that facebook like map of the NCAA tourney as an interesting novelty and got jumped.... LOL i'm not even on facebook, but i learned my lesson never post about liking.

only after reading in the context you mention does the first sentence in the thread make sense...seems beyond odd the Old Big East page wouldn't be retired to history and each new league have their own page.

new Big East should just keep the same logo that it has had for the past few years, as the brand strength in transition is familiarity and continuity.

I was worried when I saw that old Big East logo on the initial post on this thread. No interest in that old logo I hope.
