Which Opposing Fan Bases Annoy You The Most?

All right people, let's get some rivalries started!

For me:

In Conference:

Villanova and Georgetown bother me. Both fan bases are pretty entitled. Their programs are the cream of the crop among the bb only schools over the past decade, so I get why, but they definitely thumb their noses at schools like Providence, DePaul and Seton Hall.

Seton Hall bothers me because they always mention Providence as another team that is on their level. Sorry Seton Hall, we are not on your level. We are not a hopeless program who has quit on the fans and are simply looking to cash a conference check. We had some rough times, but we still try.

St. John's gets on my nerves as they don't quite realize that they have been real bad for a while now. Honestly, Providence has been better the past 10 years. But St. John's thinks they are on the Georgetown/Villanova level of prestige. While that may have been true a dozen years ago, that is no longer the case.

Out of conference:

URI. Hate these pig farmers. Nothing nice about that school, nothing nice about their athletic programs. School should fold up.

UConn. Sure they had a nice two decades with Calhoun's cheating, but Calhoun was a cheater and now he's gone. They have nice facilities and tradition, but the school is not a strong academic school and it is in a terrible location. So glad they got hosed in the conference realignment shuffle.

Rutgers. If anyone has ever encountered a Rutgers fan you would understand. But now that they are in the Big 10 I will probably never think of them again (like most of the nation).

Boston College. They led the charge to destroying the Big East. now we find ourselves in a better situation than they are!! the ACC is not a good place for Boston College to succeed, they are like a fish out of water and that is not a good thing when it comes to conference affiliation. They get the money, but they also get the losing they deserve.

Rutgers. If anyone has ever encountered a Rutgers fan you would understand. But now that they are in the Big 10 I will probably never think of them again (like most of the nation).

They won the lottery. Not much athletics success, but some in the midwest think Newark is the NYC market.

Boston College. They led the charge to destroying the Big East. now we find ourselves in a better situation than they are!! the ACC is not a good place for Boston College to succeed, they are like a fish out of water and that is not a good thing when it comes to conference affiliation. They get the money, but they also get the losing they deserve.

Although BC is a fish out of water in the ACC, and they have definitely slid, they are still better positioned than the Friars. They have the ACC platform, so a turn around at any time is possible. Until then they are at least financially solid with FBS football.

These guys never win games, why should that change this season?

Loads of off season troubles (some recruit bailed on them to play in Europe, another got hit up on burg charges, and another ended up being shipped back to Isreal and not being allowed to return). Terrible coaching. Tradition of losing. Not expecting much.

So when Georgetown and Nova fans thumb their noses at Providence, DePaul, and Seton Hall they are entitled. But when Providence fans thumb their noses at DePaul and Seton Hall, they are just being honest that those programs suck?

Friarfan2 seems to want the title of first/biggest troll. Notice he just joined today and for whatever reason really seems to have a hard on for Seton Hall (half of his posts go out of their way to try to trash SHU and to a lesser extent NJ - he also has a lot of his "facts" about the Pirates very wrong). I really hope this site does not become infested with his ilk. Up until now the thing that makes this site better than any other is the fact that fans here from the various schools seem to have a mutual respect for each other and can talk about all conference members like adults. I hope that doesn't change.
