Two games Sunday.

Central Connecticut at Providence, 2pm.
Wagner at St John's, 4:30pm.

The Johnnies are still undefeated, and facing the pride of Staten Island... borough vs borough... Wagner alums include PJ Carlesimo, Rich Kotite, and the late Robert Loggia. No one played a better tough guy than Robert Loggia.

I expect the a close game at the Dunk, cuz that's how we roll. Famous CCSU alums include Ricky Bottalico, Skip Jutze, and Richard Grieco, star of 21 Jump Street... my wife loved 21 Jump Street with Depp and Grieco... they were in that together, right? I hope Richard Grieco isn't at the game tomorrow.

I'm going to try to work in weird references in upcoming game days. I was hoping you Jets fans would react to a Rich Kotite mention! And 21 Jump Street, c'mon, the guys looked 30!

Well I like the PJ reference lol and I'm an Eagles fan actually, but was still too young when Kotite was the coach to remember him.

*Edit - to be fair I was far too young to remember PJ also, but his highlights have been replayed often enough that I'm well aware of him lol

[ ** sound of needle screeching across the old-style record player turntable ** ]
... ok, an Eagles fan... [clears throat]... good game last January... big Chris Long fan here...!

By the way, Kotite coached Philly too... i think just after Buddy Ryan... but before Pete Carroll... I'm so confused... ok i gotta leave for the Dunk... my 13 year old, gotta wake him up... he's still sleeping... it's good being the king, and a teenager.

You guys have won enough of them lol. And yeah that's what I'm saying, he coached the Eagles too but I was too young to remember.

Man the Johnnies just have no idea how to dominate a bad team early. We tickle their balls for the first half and then pull away in the last 5 minutes. Hopefully this isn't a bad omen for conference play.

The problem with St.Johns.....They will have to have a very good B East season.....

I believe they have "Zero" Quad 1 wins under the NET system.....On the positive side.....I don't think they have any Quad 1 losses either.....

The next question is.....Who is doing St.John's out of conference schedule.....

That person could actually cost St. John's an NCAA bid....

10-0!! First time in 36 years. :)

Won by 10+ points, too. Third straight 10+ point win.

Capping at 10:
Loyola (MD) +10
Bowling Green +4
Rutgers +10
Cal +3
VCU +1
UMES +10
Georgia Tech +3
Mt. St. Mary's +10
Princeton +10
Wagner +10

Will we falter during Big East play? Who knows, but I'm going to enjoy the winning. Incredible start to the season!
