First, if any fans visit here, congratulations thus far on the run.

Creighton is joining, VCU is at least being discussed,.. anyone think Wichita St. could be in the discussion prior to this run? There have been rumors of an unknown teambeing debated, as well as a team we might not expect due to travel (might have been Creighton, though). If we went the route of VCU then Wichita St. would provide a partner for both VCU and Creighton, in a sense. A brief look suggests their resume is no worse (probably better) than other candidates. I's a big enough city and they have a 10,000+ seat arena. I can't say as I know much about their program or university, so I have no good gauge on them.

Not sure they have ANY institutional similarities to the current 10 schools. They have had a freshman admit percentage of 95% last year and 94% the year before. They have almost a 1/3 of their students as part timers, and 40% of the students are transfers from other schools.

But I will more than admit they have a very good coach in Marshall and have turned into an exemplary program. They have a large if somewhat basic, older arena.

Know the Shocker program pretty well being a Creighton fan. Have a great fanbase and following even when they were losing really bad a few years ago. I think the biggest problem just like VCU is institutional fit. Large public school not particularly in the same level "academically" as the other schools. I think that is a big problem for the Presidents.

Agree. If the Presidents can be convinced on adding a public school, it will be VCU because it's in the East.

I think St. Louis would have to be the one worried if Wichita St. is in the discussions, not VCU. If anything, that possibility would bode well for VCU's chances.

Though Wichita St. isn't really a possibility so that is unfortunate for vcu
