As suggested several pages back - have the commish and Fox push for a BE/PAC12 4 year challenge, with a renewal option if successful. "East vs West" challenge... a great new start for the league-televised on Fox1, as both conferences have Fox contracts.

I would love to see Connecticut and Memphis join the Big East. Both Connecticut and Memphis would bring tremendous value and name recognition along with substantial fan bases and great facilities to the conference.

The caveat being that they would certainly have to place football elsewhere. The options to place football would be as an independent or as an associate member of a FBS conference such as Conference USA or the MAC or they could compete in the FCS subdivision. Also the conference would have to establish a significant exit fee with both these programs that have football to provide stability and equity for the long term development and growth of the conference.

I'm Temple deemphasizes football (drop to 1AA) then take them if it is decided to go beyond ten. Villanova should not get to dictate who is in and who is not if the majority decides it is best for the conference.

Are these your words from August 24? Seems like you think temple should be added if we go beyond 10 and they de-emphasized football. Am I reading your words incorrectly?

I disagree. I don't think we should be duplicating markets. If cincy or Rutgers de-emphasized football, I would not want them.

So, I am reading our words, and it appears you think that temple should be added under certain circumstances.

It's cool JOPO. No hard feelings. I understand that the Rutgers add in NJ was a bad choice, and caused SHU some unecessary competition, and you some frustration. I'm glad you saw the error in this line of thinking as the link progressed. Let's all agree, No Rutgers, Temple/St Joe's/LaSalle, URI, GW, Cinn, Dayton, Fordham, etc. if we are going to expand. I would think that SLU has #11 written all over it in a couple of years.
