I’m actually warming to this....some of the comments from NY high school coaches are encouraging....would be nice to have an alum who also has head coaching experience....

Excellent articles guys – thanks for posting. I don’t have a dog in this race, but after reading those articles, Tim Cluess gets my vote.

Ron "Metta World Peace" Artest has expressed interest in the St. John's head coaching position. Even though that has a slim-to-none chance of ever happening, I must laugh at the absolute disaster that would be...

Could you imagine Metta World Peace on the sidelines? The press conferences after the games? They would definitely play hard.

SJU jas begun informal talks with Cluess. Looking like Hurley might not pan out.

https://nypost.com/2019/04/11/tim-clues ... %20buttons

As of late Wednesday night, Tim Cluess was involved in informal discussions with St. John’s to become its next head coach, and an official request with Iona to speak to its head coach was expected soon, a source familiar with the talks told The Post.

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the talks had progressed to the point that Cluess believed he was the leading candidate to replace Chris Mullin, who stepped down Tuesday after four seasons, and the talks could intensify over the next days.

I'd prefer Hurley but would be good with Cluess.

LJ Figueroa has entered the transfer portal......said he is leaving his options open but will wait to see who SJU hires.....he is my favorite SJU player in the last 5-10 years, so I really hope he is convinced to stay.....
