Not a bad list to be on.

This conference is going to be fun this year. The UConn fans will be watching it with interest on the periphery. When it is all said and done, I believe they'll be excited to step into this Big East.

On College Sports Madness' top 144 Georgetown checks in at #47 and predicted to be in the NCAA field as an 11 seed.

This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Andy Katz has the Hoyas at a 5 seed....maybe a tad high but closer to reality than 11.

The conference is so evenly matched this year, a group of teams will likely be sitting at 11/12 wins come March and GU should be in that group. Not out of the question they could emerge at the top after the inevitable slugfest is complete.

Really? You're doubting the SH/Nova predictions? Who's in this 11/12 W's group you're imagining?

Oh yeah, Nova is propped up by name rec alone. No rational basketball pundit worth his salt can pick them winning the BE otherwise, unless Jay Wright's good looks can win games, which at times it has! The group is X, SHU, GU, PC, MU with VU in the mix because of GQJ's shoes. Experience and guard play trumps everything in college hoops.

Can admin pin Xuperman's post pls. This one is worth being able to refer back to in March.

Hate to be a party pooper, but the group you are citing looks to be the BE's 9-9 club: (The group is X, SHU, GU, PC, MU) ;)

Yeah one of these years Jay will figure out how to coach. Talent pool is clearly shallow. Only 9 of their guys were 4 or 5 star players coming out of HS. They clearly can’t compete with all those X mid major transfers.

So you’ve got Nova and CU finishing in the bottom half of the league? Bold prediction. I have no doubt you’re...what was that again...”worth your salt.” That’s catchy.
Go Nova!

I didn't intend to ruffle any feathers but if you post predictions on a site like this, you’re not going to get a lot of “hell yeahs”, especially for a new guy like me.

But I tend to saturate myself in BEast hoops now that X was fortunate to get in. And seeing 4/5 teams bunched up at the top is not going out on a limb at all. The teams in that group have ALL BE talent with loads of experience. And then there’s Nova, which unlike in recent memory, not so much. My commit about you guys being ranked on name rec alone is just another way of saying “until someone proves otherwise” which is the reasoning most use including those on this board.
As far as my reference to Coach Wright, I can’t help myself. He’s the best coach in the country but the GQJ thing grates on some people.

All I’m saying is that it’s gonna be brutal on the road this year and getting more than 12 wins seems unlikely but a few getting to 11/12 makes sense given the parity at the top and the likelihood that SJU and DU will struggle for every W.

Everything lines up perfectly for this Xavier squad to be there...2 senior and 3 junior starters with ALL BE potential and a solid bench has expectations soaring in Cincy.

Seriously season can't get here soon enough, I'm getting flashbacks to the inaugural NBE season of 13-14. A bunch of people sleeping of Nova this year, just like then, this Nova team is full of players that are going to take a major step up. Just like then we have no Seniors, no one to defer to so plenty of room to grow. We all know Jay Wright sucks at developing talent ;)

Beginning of the season might be sort of rough, but this team is going to jell and be a beast to deal with after January. Hell might much sooner than that. Nova will be battling for the top spot in the BE season just as usual and be a elite 8 or better contender.
