Why is Nova only playing 4 games at Wells Fargo? Is this a new thing? It's basically the same no. as last year.

Thought they played most of their games at the NBA arena and not on campus.

Just a really lousy schedule if you are a Xavier student. Spring semester starts January 13.

Students miss:
12/31 vs. St John's (Christmas break)
1/4 vs. Butler (Christmas break)
1/9 vs. Marquette (Christmas break)
3/1 vs. Creighton (Christmas break)

I consider Butler to be our biggest rival so missing that one my senior year definitely hurts.

I haven't done thorough analysis of every team yet, but did any other teams get long lay offs like the Jays did? They have a 10 day layoff around the end of January and early February. Is this all because Fox Sports will be gearing the entire network's amount of coverage to the Super Bowl?

I think that is the norm. I remembered that would play as few as three games at the nba arena when another Philly team would host the ncaa tournament (like 2006 and 2009, when they played in Philly the first weekend).

I would expect to see 4 games at the nba arena, then if they have marquee out of conference games those would also be downtown. (So Syracuse next yr)

So the fsn national games are the new pawned off to the regional networks? Definitely enough providence, seton hall and DePaul games on that list. Ugh.

Nova plays anywhere from 3-5 games at the WFC depending upon the schedule and if the WFC is a regional site for the NCAA tournament. From a count stand point, we always play most of our games at the on campus Pavillion (aka The Ski Lodge). Part of me wants them to have more games at the WFC (certainly conference games), but [if I can get tickets, that is] the games at the Pavillion are way more convenient to where I work and live, and cheaper.

Xavier students will be on campus for 4 of their 9 home conference games.

Unless my count is off, the Friars are playing 14 of their 18 conference games on Fox Sports 1, 2 on FSN National, and 2 on CBS Sports Network. That is by far more national exposure than you got from ESPN and the times are better as well. Moreover, if you look at Georgetown, they have 15 on Fox Sports 1, 1 on CBS and 2 on CBS Sports Network. So there is really very little difference (2 games) between Georgetown (who you said was going to get all the coverage) and Providence. No reason for the Friars to complain about TV exposure with this schedule.

Does nobody stick around? Or come in for games? MU sells out games even during break

We do? Our attendance average isn't really pushing the BC's capacity.
