it's not just that they took 3's instead of 2s. they were bad shots. you take in-rhythm 3s all day (off the ball movement, feet set).

sometimes college bball is simple. teams that take good shots win. (also evidenced from 2nd game)

You guys have so many weapons that can attack the rim. We struggled to stop you in the paint. As you guys are making your last mad dash comeback Naji, who was scoring at will in the lane, pulls up and jacks a couple of 3’s. I was so relieved to see him settle for those. I think X needs to listen to their coach. They can play very good D and they can attack the rim at Will. That’s your strength. Limit your 3 Pt attempts and you’ll be a better overall team. X is just not a good outside shooting team. But damn they are a load within 10 feet.

Naji took a total of 3 or 4 step-back 3s and missed all 5 of his attempts. He is not a good 3-point shooter and his shot selection at critical times is mind boggling. Sadly, this is not new information to Xavier fans, nor is it surprising to see him continue to jack up bad shots at inopportune times as he has been doing it all year. It's on Steele to find a way to get through to him. In the meantime, the advice to opposing fans is to bring your hard hat to the game when you play X as you never no when you might get hit by a stray shot or pass.

Credit to Seton Hall for pulling out the win, but my guess is that by the end of the year that DePaul learns how to finish games they should win. If they don't, it's going to be a long year in this league.

It's strange being able to root for 9 teams as opposed to 4 like last year. I wasn't sure who to root for in either game.

Fun games regardless.

Anyone and everyone who cares about winning on Victory Parkway is waiting for that exact thing to happen.

We will see if they finally see what it is going to take to have a truly successful season.

As for Nova, it is looking like business as usual is settling in. Congrats on the W.
