Patterson is a very nice player that can step right in with the departure of Samuels and likely Robinson Earl.

It’s been a while since I gandered over to the Rutgers boards. Man, talk about a delusional fan base. Lots of B1G10 better than BE drivel as expected. Fine; very good conference that RU hasn’t contributed much to. But one quote caught my eye:

“There’s literally nothing Villanova can offer that exceeds RU right now, unless you lived under a rock these past 6 months. Of course they’re the better program, but the gap between the 2 is NOT large, it’s very small entering the 2020-21 season.”

For our new members, who think DePaul has been a disappointment, let me intro you to RU. It has been 37 years since RU has won an NCAA tourney game. Not a typo. We have made 4 FF with 3 NC’s and won 44 tourney games in that same span.

But according to some over there RU and Nova are similar programs. Guess I’ve been living under a rock.

Didn't you hear that the Rutgers program passed UCONN a few years ago? Makes sense that they're about to pass Nova too.

These people need our prayers, not our ridicule.

Ahhh feck it, anyone that types that kind of drivel deserves anything headed their way. We should probably start a "Hall of Fame for Stupid Shit a Fan Said on Message Boards" and this, rightfully so, would be the first inductee.

The more I think about this (which is too much already...cause "Rutgers"), if you are a season ticket holder at any other Big 10 school, the Rutgers game means:
1. If it's below 20 degrees, you're not going. If it's between 20 and 30 degrees and snowing, you ain't going.
2. If you have a customer that thinks he's a big deal and expects perks from you, but he's really your least important customer, you give him the Rutgers game.
3. If your Uncle Frank, who looks a little too creepily at your wife and daughter, wants to come to town for a game, you take him to Rutgers (after sending your wife and daughter to grandma's house).
4. If your wife wants to have a "girls weekend" where you'll be responsible for the kiddos, you say, "how about the weekend of January 10...it's Rutgers weekend. I'll give the tickets to Chad at work."
5. If you have an obnoxious friend at work that thinks you're "besties" because you once gave him a ride to pick up his car after an oil change, you give him the Rutgers tickets (no,no, i can't go...you take them).

There, i am done with Rutgers for this decade. Cheers to the real U in NJ and other Big East colleagues.

Delusional doesn't begin to describe it lol. They're convinced that beating SHU without Powell and Mamu means they've left us in the dust and we'll never be competitive with them again. Of course, they've also been claiming to have surpassed the Hall and have the clearly brighter future every year for at least the past 2 decades and are yet to have it come true. Now they think they've caught Nova because of one season not being completely dreadful? It's embarrassing.
