So I looked at the NET for today-
Creighton jumps from 66 to 62. With them only possible to lose 2 more games, I'd say that's pretty much lock city now that they finish top 75.
St John's only jumps from 74 to 73. Kind of thought they'd jump more. Might need another win to get top 75. @ Marquette and then DePaul most likely.

1. Leave Whaley and Jackson wide open outside the paint (zero threat out there),
2. Attack Sanogo in the lane to get him in foul trouble (if unsuccessful - clog the paint and double Sanogo every time he touches the ball), and
3. Give Cole (our only shot creator) 36 minutes of hell so he's worn by the end of the game.

Unless Polley/Hawkins provide significant offense off the bench, it's a guaranteed W. McDermott did a great job.

Easily McDermott's best coaching job ever.

what would you all say- 95% of the time he would have won the coach of the year? With most years unanimously?

My ballot:
1. Big Ed
2. Big Mac
3. Stubblefield
I can't say enough about the transformation at DePaul. The culture of hero ball was so imbedded there, and now they're sharing the ball. JFL had 5 assists last night and David Jones had 4. Used to see those guys' photos in the dictionary under "usage." Last night, I heard the home crowd chanting "Let's go Demons" and thought, wtf is that? Had never heard that before.

He should, but he won't. He took a Div 2 transfer, lost his most senior player early ( Mitchell), lost his Freshman player of the Year, blended in 6-7 freshmen, and is in 3rd place in the Big East. CU is playing with half their team 18 year olds playing against Providence and others with 23-24 yr olds. Just a fact. He has done an amazing job of getting them to buy in to a system and believing in each other.

Ya, McDermott is right behind Cooley IMO.

If I can ever make it to Omaha one day, I'd have to make sure I catch that dollar beer night

Did he make a video “report” last night? I’d sure like to see it

Creighton's twitter account has a short video of Lavin's interview. Not sure where the full interview is hosted...

But Steve Lavin has a bunch of pics on his twitter

There's only one solution for this COY debate. PC needs to fly out to Omaha on Monday, and play that makeup game. Winner gets COY and if the BE standings change any, the teams adjust on the fly for Thursday. :D Of course Val would need that REg Season trophy back until it's been settled.

There is no COY debate. Ed Cooley should win it unanimously.

Great job by McDermott this year. Great job by Stubblefield this year. Jay Wright is Jay Wright. But Cooley taking a team that was 7th in the preseason poll to win the league should win it running away, and he will.
