He said it several times, and then he seemed surprised they were giving the ball to Marquette. Unbelievable. Why couldn't he have been our ref?

Haha yeah sometimes the announcing is so bad that it takes your mind off of how bad the officiating is for a few seconds.

We have been asking the same question. The deep pass was the only way to lose that game. A short pass (even directly to a Marquette player in the paint) would not have left enough time for a three. Just a bad mistake that cost us a game!

Yep...this is what kept me up and frustrates me still. The easiest thing he could have done is just pass it to the guy guarding him. Game over.

The officiating is what it is...I thought there was some shaky shit called on both sides. One in which we were the beneficiary...there was a play where an MU player (I think it was the devil himself, Markus) was dribbling down toward the baseline, Martin swiped from behind (and actually hit has arm, not the ball), the ball came off Howard's hand, bounced once inbounds (I think), then our Marcus tried to save it and bounced it on end line. They looked at it and gave it to CU.

And I thought the announcers were terrible. I know that can happen on CBSSN because they don't get as many BE games as Fox but, good gracious, it was liked they looked at game notes an hour before tip off and that was their prep for the game. But they were clearly lost on several occasions regarding what was going on in the game.

not only that, but I thought the camera view for that last second shot was something that if it had been on Fox or ESPN would have helped them make the correct call on that last second shot......

only thing I can think of is a quick timeout, if they had one, and then a chance for catch and shoot with .3 left.

this was such a gimme play i bet no team even practice for this situation. out of bounds on inbounds plays do happen. desperation 3s do go in. but the chances of both happening back to back? that's why I said earlier you can't blame anyone on Jays for this.

That's a great point. Really the only play that could have hurt them was throwing the ball long and having no one touch it or throwing it directly to a Marquette player who immediately heaves it from beyond the arc. Do we know whether that was a coaches call or did the players just do it on their own?

Buffalo's coach is right there for the taking. Or Loyola's coach. Can you imagine what Buffalo's coach would be able to do with Creighton's roster probably miracles. Ole Miss just beat Auburn and it's Kermit Davis's first year, he was at Middle Tennessee.

One thing- this is a really good year IMO for looking for coaches. VERY few of the F5 programs(especially in the non Pac 12 leagues) will be looking for coaches.... I mean maybe Wake Forest, maybe Penn State. And that might be just about it.....

Seems like there's a lot of fans looking for the Jays to make a change. Didn't realize there was that much of a hot seat under McDermott

This is the most noise Ive heard but its not coming from media or administration. I have been feeling this way since KSU tourney game. Losing close games, no defense or rebounding, March performances..... supporters just point to injuries and OSU's interest. Im curious how fans of other Big East teams view him if anyone cares to share.
