that's exactly the point. Why should Providence get rewarded for the home game when they caused the cancellation of the game in Omaha? Why should Creighton lose the money and the home court advantage due to Providence's cancellation?

LMAO Horchler, Watson, and Bynum all had covid. AJ Reeves was actually injured. We have 2 redshirts which you do not have to account for as part of the 7 scholarship players. That left us with Durham, Minaya, Croswell, Breed, Case, and Goodine for scholarship players and the 2 Fonts brothers as walkons. You guys should know there’s no conspiracy theories…we’re just lucky! You’ve been telling us this all season can’t change the tune now!

Lucky or not, Providence is going to benefit from this like no one else. I don’t think the issue is Covid or postponing games, but the fact that one team apparently isn’t rescheduling games that could impact the Big East championship. Pretty similar to what happened with Villanova’s last year playing five games fewer than Creighton. It’s not that hard to understand.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Just to be clear. You came to Omaha with only 7 scholarship players and then the morning of the game, the one player tested positive and knocked you down to 6 scholarship players. That's cutting it close. If that is true, what are the odds? Also, not sure what changing the tune means? I haven't said anything about Providence being lucky- let alone all season.

IMO can't compare last year to this year. The circumstances were a lot different with what we know about the virus. I'm not sure that any games were rescheduled after they were postponed last year were they? I get why it upsets many and I wish they would have played all 20, but they didn't.

PC is absolutely robbing the league of a true round robin champion. The Big East needs to do something or go to the NBA version of "games back" to crown a champion this year. I still think they lose multiple games the rest of the way and it's a moot point, but not having to go to Omaha and not facing UCONN is a joke.

What are you going to do? Nothing about the last couple of years is normal. If they win playing 3 less games so be it. Here's the thing. We get them two more times. If we think we are the best, then we need to go out and prove it. We control our own destiny. Last year Creighton needed to win at our place--especially after Gillespie went down in the first half. They didn't. We won the league based on agreed to terms before the season began. Oh yeah and 2 of the games missed were vs. DePaul whom we've beaten 22 straight times. So there's that to anyone thinking that Jay Wright somehow gamed the system.

Too much "wah, wah wah" on this topic IMO. If we want the crown it is in our power to just take it. That's what I hope our players are thinking as well. And let's also be honest that Big East banners are nice. I'd prefer a FF banner if I had my choice.

some think the BET means more anyways than the regular season one anyways. A year like this, and that's even moreso.

Many feel this way, but after watching Georgetown win the BET as an 8 seed last year, get thumped by Colorado in embarrassing fashion in the NCAAT first round, then lay an all time egg this season, I have changed my feelings some on the meaning of winning the BET. The regular season should probably mean more.

BAHAHAHA now we’re robbing the league. Keep the tears coming. The rules say you need 7 scholarship players. If our 7th tested positive on the morning of the Creighton game, that leaves us with 6. To say “that’s cutting it close” is freaking platinum-level trolling. This is black and white, there’s no interpretation left open-ended. We did not have 7, we do not play. Sorry about your bad luck. Beat us when we play and stop crying.
