Appears that FS1 will be adding some exciting lower level football for programming. Come on down Conference USA

Wonder how this will effect Big East coverage?

FS1 probably needs to have some live football programming, but the risk is that the network is then viewed as second or third rate because FS1 will be showing games from a conference that isn't relevant nationally. I sure hope that Fox uses the FS1 platform to do some NFL programming to boost viewership and build anticipation for the Big East basketball season.

FS1 will also have Big XII and Pac-12 FB games. The games that were on FX this year will be on FS1 this fall.

Also the lower level FB games will in no way effect our coverage since we don't play FB and the two seasons really don't overlap much. They just need some weekday night filler before BBall season starts up.

They've already said they will be doing NFL shows on FS1 using the same crew that they use for Fox and that it will be a daily show.

That is great to hear. Hopefully they cross promote the heck out of Big East hoops.

I've got no problem with Fox airing some college football. Want to make sure the Fox channels get as much carriage on cable systems as possible nationally? Get some football coverage. We then benefit from any extra carriage that gets added.
