If you could make 1 change to the big east, what would it be

I would trade SetonHall for St Louis.
Entry into a new market (we already have nj covered with St. John's and nova), the school has shown more commitment to winning than SetonHall who is slashing budgets and hired Kevin Willard for pennies to coach them. St. Louis has more success. Neither bring much in brand recognition, but st Louis has greater potential. Also st Louis opens up the Midwest a bit more and bridges the gap.

Not that a I disagree entirely (though I'm not one for align to push out our brothers), but St. Louis does not have more success than Seton Hall.
I'd just rather Add SLU and find a way to bring in Gonzaga or Notre Dame with them. That would make the conference a dream.

When seton hall hired Kevin Willard you knew they weren't serious about basketball. And this pinching pennies/leeching off the conference while other teams spend money to motive our brand goes well beyond basketball. They don't try in any of the Olympic sports either (granted baseball had a fluke run at above averageness, but their directors cup standings are always by for the worst).

I'm okay with Seton Hall and DePaul in the Big East. The world needs ditch diggers too.

We need our basement dwellers as much as anyone. Only so many wins to go around.

Can a Providence fan really advocate for replacing somebody from the conference? I generally like Providence, but if you haven't made the tournament in almost a decade, perhaps you should hold judgement on the teams below you.

Wow! Seton Hall leaching off the conference? That was being said about Providence (and others) from the football schools over the last five years. Thought we were done with that.

I'd go back in time and do everything in my power to keep the Big East, circa 1980, together.
Syr
BC
Uconn
Prov
SJU
SHU
V'nova
G'town
Pitt
Then in my 2nd act would invite Xavier, L'ville and Marq to the party for a great 12 team league. I'm looking forward to forging new rivalries but it's going to be hard not seeing the Syracuse's and Uconn's any more.

I'd remove any urge on the part of the schools to expand. Any other feasible addition would only dilute the league in my opinion. Vcu probably won't get invited and Notre dame wont leave the acc. That leaves us with slu, Dayton or Richmond; none of whom would add much that we don't already have.

To those defending Seton Hall, just wait and see....
