This week the Bluejay Banter Big East basketball preview focused on Marquette (we took a couple-week hiatus -- switched networks to align ourselves with the new home of Creighton basketball). We were joined by Michael Hunt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. We're trying to get some coaches, but it would seem Big East coaches are tougher to wrangle than Missouri Valley coaches.

Creighton assistant Steve Lutz was our other guest.

Mike Hunt (say that 5 times fast for a little laugh) is a fool who knows nothing about basketball. If you guys didn't catch that because he didn't know the names of the freshmen on the team he is the reporter for then I don't know what to say.

Good note. Thought the forgeting recruit names was a bit odd, but I'm not 100 percent sure Creighton's beat writer would remember either. Is there a writer or other media member Marquette fans consider more of the "expert?"

We tried for Buzz. Obviously couldn't make it happen, so the beat writer is usually the next resource we target.

The guys at Paint touches or cracked sidewalks paint touches they have an inside track to bball info while cracked sidewalks knows literally every conceivable statistic. Don't go for anonymous eagle, the guys are very nice huge fans and hilarious but not quite the experts that PT and CS are.

Milwaukee media knows next to nothing about Marquette basketball. It's freaking pathetic.

Todd Rosiak was the one bright spot we had.

I totally appreciate the love from the bluejay crowd "I think you have to go with Marquette for 1st in the league it's the most logical choice" paraphrasing one of the talk show hosts
