Maybe things like this help sway the C7 to add someone like Creighton if their AD is that highly thought of.

It certainly couldn't hurt. A couple of key points about the 10 person selection committee. Six have to be from BCS conferences. Therefore, non bcs teams have at the most four members. The terms are for five years. To be selected is quite an honor. The member has to vacate the room when a "conference team" is brought up for discussion. I believe the strong point for Creighton is that the discussion on this board and for the Catholic 7 is that members have to be "all in " for basketball. I believe this shows that nationally, the NCAA believes Creighton is a program that is worthy of a spot on the most important committee that they establish. Therefore, besides all the data and charts and NCAA bids we have discussed, this shows the NCAA believes Creighton is a player on the national stage. That certainly shouldn't hurt in the consideration of the teams to be added.

Actually, six don't have to be from a BCS conference. There are only four currently. It really doesn't as say much about Creighton as it does for your AD.

There is a video at the bottom with an interview that was interesting and he explains many of committee requirements. He stated that 4 of the ten members need to come from non-BCS leagues. One of the interviewers then begins to ask questions about what happens if Creighton were to join a new league, etc. Those answers are in the last couple of minutes if anyone wanted to watch it.

Can the Creighton AD still join the committee? His spot was one that was designated for the non-BCS leagues - does this change anything?

Would the new Big East still be a BCS conference?

http://www.gocreighton.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=1000&ATCLID=1147730Ras is a guy CU fans do not want to ever lose and represents not only our school but also our community well. Only fitting my first post would be about him. He could not have got this done with out the support he and CU gets from the fans and we would not be here without his and Fr Lannon's leadership.

Considering none of us have BCS football, I'm going to guess that the BCS bid goes to the other guys.
