Tough one for Marq. I know he was expected to step in and provide stability at PG. It is really tough to win without good guard play, especially at the point. I thought Marq would rebound in league play but I am starting to have doubts. Between Roosevelt, Whettington, Mayaan, Dunn, Austin, and now Wilson this league has had its share of adversity.

Anyone depending on a freshman to provide stability at PG was already in trouble.

Probably better for the team in the long run (and him). Still sucks a little since he was expected to be a contributor and have the scoring ability so lacking in Derrick. Oh well, these things happen.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Tell that to Nova last year with Arch, Syracuse this year with Ennis, SJU with Jordan...I can provide dozens of other examples. Freshmen guards are nothing new, and there are lots of teams that are very successful with a Frosh PG. I don't think it was too much, especially with their front court, to ask Wilson to come in, take care of and distribute the ball, and make a few open shots.

Yup, especially if he were only going to be a reserve player.
