I am amazed Xavier is favored in this game. Georgetown just gave St. John's a run for their money and I am pretty sure St. John's destroys X at this point. Only silver lining I can think of is Mac is out, so maybe there is a chance.

Hopefully the Pirates get a bounce back game today after the disappointment in Chicago. I'm optimistic based on what I know this team's capable of, but also concerned because (DePaul aside) I think this team's played its best ball away from home. Actually- I'd say they're yet to play a legitimately good game at the Rock this year.

Tyrique needs to get back on track - he hasn't been the same since the headbutt in practice 2-3 weeks ago.
(Follow him closely as he's on my fantasy team.)

As for CU...everyone's got our number. Stop the 3 and u stop Creighton. ;)

The league is wide open. If you would have told me that SJU would be 14-2 and 2-2 in conference at this point I would have taken it for sure and I'll take it now. We had three of the four on the road and I think road wins are going to be difficult for everyone this season. I don't know what to make of X yet because I really haven't watched them enough. I think that Nova, Quette and St. John's are probably the top three in any particular order. I think G'Town, Seton Hall, will be in that next group of three but I don;t know who joins them there. Going to be a fun year. Tonight I would take the Hoyas, Quette and Seton Hall.

I don't see any reason for us Jays fans to be optimistic about tonight. Marquette owns us. Beaten us 5 straight times including 3 straight on our own floor. We don't have a defense. I predict Markus Howard will break Doug's arena record and score somewhere in the high 40s-low 50s and if the game is somehow close, he'll hit the game winner on us. I can already see it happen. Sorry, but we don't stand a chance tonight even on our own court.

I hope I'm drastically wrong of course but I won't be holding my breath.

Thom brennaman on the call. Surprised they got him to do basketball but it makes sense considering he lives here

It's too bad they aren't playing DePaul - Thom and Marty would make the most of getting to rag on Chicago.

Some interesting matchups tonight - I'm hoping Butler can take advantage of a smaller crowd in Newark, but after the loss to DePaul I expect Seton Hall to be playing with a chip on their shoulder.
