espn.com has their "bubble watch" up and they have grouped teams into 3 categories - "locks", "should be in" or "work to do".....as of today, they estimate there are 14 bids that 20 schools are competing for from the "work to do" category......4 of the 20 are Big East teams (SJU, Hall, Creighton and Butler).
There are 4 teams from the list in action today:
NC State (at UNC)
Florida (at Auburn)
Utah State (at Fresno St)
SJU (at Marquette)
So, I guess for us "work to do" schools, we need to root for UNC, Auburn and Fresno State tonight......(and, of course, the Johnnies!)

Doesn't hurt to track this stuff this early, but just my personal opinion I don't think what everyone else is doing at this point really matters. It's such a large sample that we already know some opposing conference teams will move down, and others will move up. 95% of the equation is just whether these 4 Big East teams are able to finish 9-9 (or 10-8 to feel really safe).
That said, a month from now this could be really interesting if we have multiple teams at 8/9 wins heading into the BET. Definitely a very fun year and could be the most exciting BET Tournament since realignment.

Definitely agree......especially about the BET......insane the lack of separation from spots 3 through 10.....will be really important to finish at least 6th to avoid the need to win 4 games in 4 days.....

FWIW there are no locks for the AAC. Not even Houston at 21-1. Wow.

ESPN also lists the made up Power 6 conferences in alphabetical order, and the American after them at the end. Wow. If I were the AAC I'd be pissed, it's like being in an abusive relationship.
I'd feel good about going up against most of those bubble teams. A lot of teams like NC State and Temple only have 1 Q1 win for example.

Just like there are no locks for the Big East on that....
Really at this point Houston, Nova, and Marquette are close to locks. It'd take them losing out just about to not make the tourney.

The "others" section should have Wofford in it. #28 NET & #31 Kenpom? Both are higher than Utah st and SF.
