Nova's got a tough profile. Now only 3 Q1 wins. They better at least get a split vs St John's and Seton Hall or they could go into selection Sunday with only those 3 Q1 wins. They'll make the tourney obviously, but their seed could really start to fall some into that dangerous 7/8 category where you do not want to be- no matter how good you are.
So which is it? Is it better for Nova to beat SJU/SHU and get a higher seed, or for SJU/SHU to beat Nova and move off the bubble? I'm a bit biased, but I think the latter.
I agree it would have been better for Providence to win, but end of the day the game won't mean much of anything on Selection Sunday.
Georgetown and Creighton aren't getting bids, and I really doubt the National Champs are losing sleep over whether Providence remains a Q1 win lol.
As far as the Tournament is concerned, Butler's game tonight is far more important.
