Mortal lock for three: Nova, Marquette and Hall.

SJU, Creighton, Georgetown, and maybe Xavier could get a bid with the right results in NYC.

Any of those 4 listed win two games in BET and they’ve got a shot. Unless that happens, I vote three.

Minimum 3, maximum 5. I've thought St. John's would be a lock with one more win, but bid thieves, including from the BE, could change that. Root for VCU, Buffalo, Nevada, Wofford, and Washington. Root against Memphis as well. There are a few other bid thief possibilities, but these are the clear cut ones.

I think 4 or 5 will be magic number!

yeah I'm not so sure a Q3 win over DePaul helps St John's that much. I don't think there's any question however that if they don't get that win, they're pretty much out.

4 bids.

Bracket Matrix:
Marquette: lock
Nova: lock
Seton Hall: 3rd 10 seed (74/76)
St. John's: 1st 11 seed (61/76)
Creighton: 2nd team out (30/76)
Georgetown: 6th team out (5/76)

I believe that all of those 76 brackets were updated through Saturday's games, but I could be wrong. I think Bracket Matrix resets every day and gradually adds updated entries as they become available.

3 bids minimum is pretty much a lock at this point. Seton Hall should still make it even if they lose first round. One thing is certain about St. John's: barring a lot of bid thieves, there will be some bracketologists who have them "in" even if they lose vs DePaul. The only question is whether the NCAA Selection Committee would side with them? Hopefully we don't need to find out, as I feel those bracketologists would be in the minority.

Anyways, as a Johnnies fan I care significantly less if we make it than I did a couple weeks ago. Barring a miracle BET/NCAA run, I believe Mullin will step down so we are no longer building for the future. I understand his brother just died, so no disrespect as this must be an incredibly tough time for him, but end of the day I don't see him wanting to return. It'd be nice if he can at least make the NCAAT.

My prediction:
*We lose vs DePaul
*We make the Tournament and end up in Dayton
*We win our opening round Dayton game against a team like Liberty
*We get destroyed first round of the NCAAT
*Chris Mullin steps down

I'll say 5.

Unless St. Johns loses the opener, I think they get in. And it wouldn't surprise me to see Creighton or Georgetown win a couple of games and squeak in too..

I think 5 as well. Think someone goes on a run and sneaks in.
