know we had this last year....

Saw this news from Jon Rothstein-
Sources: Vermont, Rider, Columbia, and Central Connecticut will join Virginia, St. John's, Arizona State, and UMass at the Hall-of-Fame Tip Off at Mohegan Sun in November 2019.

So St John's might get to play Vermont in an OOC game with this tourney. Would be a good game for them....

Lol. Hopefully the johnnies and georgetown aren't afraid to improve their schedules a bit next year. not asking for a gauntlet, but at least relatively respectable would be nice.

Oh please, look at our schedule years prior. It was plenty hard. Last year we didn't have an AD so calm your tits.

This was a good Friday chuckle right here.

As far a OOC, Creighton is in a Vegas tournament with Iowa, San Diego State, and Texas Tech.

I think you meant to say Virginia... playing Vermont in anything other than an opening round game would not be ideal. But UVA would be great. If CM is still at the helm, I'm thinking that a matchup vs. UVA would be a difficult ask. They are really disciplined and usually find a way to frustrate the crap out of teams.

No, I acutally did mean Vermont. This is one of those 2 tiered tournaments where they are in a 4 team setuo with Virginia, Arizona St, and UMass- but with 2 home games prior to that with the other 4 teams. Vermont would be a good game for them- top 100 normally so a decent matchup. I think the top setup will be Virginia/UMass and St John's/Arizona St in the SF and then have to beat ASU to get into the game with Virginia.

Vermont to the Big East!
And they don't play football either!
(I'm joking).

yeah, Vermont is a good little program. Since 2002, they've won at least 20 games all but 3 times(and one of those 3 times, they won 19 and made the tourney). Last 2 years they've finished 63 and 76 in Ken Pom.

I agree, Vermont has been great for a long stretch.
Good topic, just funny in March, during the BE Tourney, to discuss this minute detail.
