"Initial negotiations started earlier this month with the AAC asking for $30 million and UConn aiming for $15 million, sources with direct knowledge of the league told The Enquirer."

Huge win for UConn if the AAC did originally ask for $30M

An article that panders to the UC fan base.

The writer refers to the AAC TV contract as being “lucrative”.

The AAC schools that have their eyes on the door (Houston, UC, Memphis, UCF, USF) didn't want to set a bad precedent. If UConn can escape cheap, so can they if a door opens down the road. Don't think any doors will be opening soon, but if UCF keeps up what they're doing in both sports for another 5-6 years, it's going to become pretty hard for the B12 to resist taking them in, and probably USF along with them.
