Long time reader, first time poster. Go Jays.

ESPN ran a story yesterday evening that Willard is suspended for 2 games and the NCAA is investigating the program. See below.

Nothing to see here. It's just crybaby Boeheim throwing a hissy-fit over Thompson's transfer and the NCAA bending over backwards to give its favorite corrupt coach whatever he wants.

Is it nothing? What is the worst case scenario? If substantiated, would the team be forced to forfeit games he plays in?

Edit: Let's word since there's a lot of speculation here - I shouldn't speak as matter-of-fact.

I don't see how this could impact any past of future games involving Thompson because there are no allegations to this point of impermissible benefits or anything that would impact the player's eligibility. The transfer was formally completed before he ever appeared in a game. What is known is that Thompson transferred under odd circumstances, basically just walking out over the summer and not telling anyone or formally withdrawing from Syracuse. He ended up at Seton Hall (his other finalist along with cuse out of high school). Boeheim got mad about losing the player and has been aggressively accusing SHU of tampering (it's possible they tapped him up but it also sounds very possible that he left on his own and just didn't go through the proper formalities of transferring).

The ironic thing here is JIM BOEHEIM!!! of all people accusing another coach of wrongdoing lol.

The Pirates, who will be looking for their fifth straight NCAA Tournament bid, beat Misericordia 112-38 in their final exhibition on Tuesday night.

Wait, hold up. You all had an exhibition game against a bunch of disabled kids? AND dropped a hundo on them?

That's not cool, man.

You realize he's joking, right?

They had an exhibition against Misericordia, the DIII Catholic University in Pennsylvania. Not against, Misericordia, the developmental home in Chicago.

NCAA sanctions Seton Hall with a 1 scholarship reduction next year and a fine. No big deal.

3 years probation though. No real problem, but have to watch your step while on probation. Even a small misstep could allow the corrupt NCAA to bring the hammer down on a school outside of the cartel.
