Stever, I’m extending an invitation to join the Bluejay Bandwagon! Our stock is still low and you’ll be able to buy at the right price and ride the wings into our first FF. We’ve even got an 80s style center that’s breaking out this year! Cmon what ya say?

I'm officially on the Marquette bandwagon this year.

I was talking about next year, but to be honest Marquette is a great bet right now. See you in Omaha, GO JAYS!

The season has already eclipsed expectations, with a long-term trajectory that is incredibly exciting. I'm really just trying to enjoy the ride.

Thanks for posting Stever, that was fun to watch. Forgot the clock kept running after a made basket and Mullin was able to hold the ball without needing to inbound at the end. While Mullin the coach was a bit of a disaster, Mullin the player was definitely top notch.

One thing I was amazed watching the start of the game was the whistle. St John's was in the bonus so early that game and a lot of the fouls were what we would call ticky tack today.

What an atmosphere at the old Cap Centre. Miss that old barn.

And in a lot of ways, watching that game doesn't feel like I'm watching the same sport as today.

Great video.

This was of course the first match-up in 85 between St Johns and the defending national champion Hoyas, won by the Johnnies and jumping them into the #1 ranking.

The second matchup, as you know, was the rematch at the Garden in the "Sweater Game", won pretty easily by Georgetown.

P.S. i was a junior in high school. wow.

A couple comments:
1. How about Lou grabbing the ball out of the refs hands (I think around 45 seconds left) because he had a little more coaching to do before the in-bounds. Imagine a coach trying to do that now!
2. Billy Packer was good before he got angry/bored/stale (whatever...toward the end of his career he was not good)
3. CUs Benoit Benjamin would be picked 3rd in the draft that spring being Ewing and Wayman Tisdale
4. Horace Broadnax has been the coach at Savannah State since 2005. In 2009, JTIII and Georgetown came to Savannah to play the SSU Tigers (Greg Monroe was on that team).
