Just saw on twitter:
UConn at Kansas
Texas at Marquette
Houston at Xavier
Villanova at Kansas St
SJU at WVU
Creighton at Oklahoma St
PC at OU
Iowa St at DePaul
TT at Butler
TCU at Georgetown
SHU at Baylor

So all 11 teams are in action for the Big East. For Big 12, only Houston of the new teams is in.

That Texas game is going to be fun. Fiserv will be rockin'.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

-They need to make a bigger deal out of this than having it drip for 2 weeks without any hype. I personally don't like these conference challenges for Villanova, but I can get behind it if they make a big deal out of it like B10 vs. ACC did every season.

-There's an extra road game that hopefully gets accounted for next season.

-Big 12 must have heard all the Big East hype these past 2 weeks. It's telling that Houston was picked for this over Cinci, BYU, and UCF.

I guess the Gavitt games with the Big Ten are officially over. The one thing I didn't like about that challenge was that it was played so early in the season.

I think next year is the last year of it. year 8 of 8.

Maybe the Jays will get a home game out of that.

Some great storylines here. UConn vs Kansas, the last two NCAA winners, is obviously the headliner. Texas vs Marquette is also big due to Shaka Smart.

Glad most of the newcomers (UCF, BYU) won't be included. Cincy could be interesting in the future as they were a Big East team, but that program has really fallen off recently.

Finally, I agree with kayako that this needs to be limited to a few days (like the Gavitt Games). When it's spread out over a couple weeks it's like it's not even a challenge.

Projecting Gavitt games with considerations to home/away splits against the B12:

Villanova - 2H/3A so far, so will almost certainly get a home game
Providence - same as Nova
Creighton - 3H/3A, Creighton asked nicely to play @Ok St in exchange for an extra home game
DePaul - 3H/4A, needs a home game to make it even

Xavier away - 3H/2A so far, so will almost certainly get a road game
Georgetown - same as X
Butler - same as X
Marquette - 3H/3A, B10 wants Marquette, so they get Texas at home

It's a lot less clear on the B10 side, with the exception being Michigan State almost certainly getting a home game. Maryland@Nova looks feasible, but who knows.
