This is the sport, where the new Big East will start out with the highest national ranking. Providence is ranked 1 or 2, depending on which polls you look at, with Villanova and Georgetown in the top 15 in the country. Villanova has won two national titles recently and Georgetown one, with Providence the national runner up last year. It is possible that all three will be in the top 10 at the NCAAs in November.

Fun to hear. I run now for fun (10k to 25k usually, did XC in high school), so I pay attention even though I swam instead of running at Nova.

I know its not why Butler was added but I believe they were the A-10 champs last year in both mens and womens.

Indeed Butler would be in the top four in the Big East and they are ranked #30 in the pre-season polls.
