Top-75 guard Haanif Cheatham considers six

Pembroke Pines Charter (FL) guard Haanif Cheatham, an incoming senior, has narrowed his school list to six, according to a Tweet he posted on Monday night. The lanky backcourt standout is now considering the California Golden Bears, Florida State Seminoles, Georgetown Hoyas, Georgia Bulldogs, Marquette Golden Eagles, and Wichita State Shockers.

Cheatham, a versatile and skilled wing, recently named Georgetown among his six finalists. He is set to commit on September 5th, a day before his birthday, so we have some clarity on his timetable. Cheathem's recruitment is drawing to a close, so all we can do as Hoya fans is hope.

Alex Kline ‏@TheRecruitScoop Jul 15: 2015 Nike Team Florida (FL) guard Haanif Cheatham has taken Wichita State out of his final six & added Baylor instead.

I love this dudes game. Silky smooth and only getting better. He's still underrated (top 50 IMO) but that will change when the scouts put out their post-live period rankings. He's a true big (tall) PG at 6'5 & yes he does have a consistent jumper. Extremely high bball IQ. Would love to see him in the BE.

"Shooting guard Haanif Cheatham, who will be a senior this season at Pembroke Pines Charter School in Florida, is expected to pay an official visit to Marquette this weekend. Cheatham, 6-5 and 175 pounds, is a top-100 recruit and is rated as the fifth-best prospect in the state of Florida.

Many schools have made scholarship offers to Cheatham, including Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, Kansas State, Miami, Pitt, South Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Commonwealth, Wichita State and, yes, Virginia Tech."

Should be a good sign that he just visited Marquette. Only officials were to Cal and Marquette. Would be a great get for Wojo and the Big East.

To your point:

"Cheatham has recently been hosted by Marquette and the Golden Eagles are currently at 70% on the 247sports Crystal Ball prediction. Georgetown, like Miami and Florida State, stand at 10% apiece."
