I agree with some of the comments.

The WCC is definitely 10 over the CUSA and the Valley without Creighton is still better than the CUSA. The CUSA is a shell of its 1990's self. That said other than the SEC being rated too high i have no real problems with the outcome of the poll.

Some of those fan comments on ESPN were cracking me up. Especially the one that said "All they have is Georgetown and Butler!" Georgetown should contend next year, but I don't think they can win it without Whittington, and Butler, I don't think will finish top half. Some people are just so clueless. Best case scenario, in a dream world, we COULD get 7 teams in. Marquette, Creighton, Georgetown, St.Johns, Providence, Villanova, Xavier, and maybe even Butler! All those teams have NCAA potential. Can't wait to prove people wrong.

Those bottom 3 teams are going to have to lose A LOT for that to happen. I think 4 should be the yearly goal and 6 in great years. I really can't see 7 ever happening.

AAC was 7th this morning but is now up to 5th with a few hundred extra first place votes. ...somebody's stuffing an old poll, today. It must be making the rounds on the forums. Wonder if they have the patience to push it all the way to first.

It's so cute. They're trying sooo hard. ECU fans especially are just adorable.

No one actually thinks the AAC is that good, so it's comical that they'd want to gimmick the poll. So of a quasi-Napoleon syndrome.

This is the highest placing in poll that they will ever have, it is best to just let them enjoy it. :)

Hmmm don't kid yourself.... 1/3 of those votes are likely fans of the reigning champions and a school who is a serious contenders for next year. The AAC for one year will be very very good at the top. Likewise i also suggest that 90% of the fans who vote for the SEC at the top are wearing blue... Thats the disadvantage of these kind of polls and staging popularity contests. The large rabid fan bases will slowly swing the pendulum.

As much as its easy to laugh at whats become of the AAC- a conference with the reigning Champions and solid 2014 favs Louisville, with Memphis, UCONN, Temple and CINCY will be a solid conference. 5 potential tourney teams with at least one legit champ contender. That puts the conference above several in my books. While the bottom of the conference might be underwhelming the top is pretty good. Heck i'm not saying that the AAC is the greatest but its tough to sell a conference with 5 realistic NCAA teams with one being the returning champs as the 7th best conference.
