Top 144 Countdown

Postby ljay » Fri Aug 09, 2013 2:48 pm

Always fun to find stuff to discuss in the off season. As of the day I'm writing this they are down to #93. So far, only Seton Hall is listed at #109. DePaul isn't in the Top 144. Every other team in the league will be a Top 100. 8-)

BRING IT ON!!

I'm not sure if anyone will be top 20 though. This is a year where we're going to have a lot of pretty darn good teams, but I don't think an superb ones.

Love the site. Thanks for the link.

College basketball these days is extremely volatile because of one-and-done. Ohio State is the highest achieving team from last year that has almost everyone back. But that's unusual. Even the best teams are rebuilding to some extent. Kentucky is getting a lot of love but they only went to the NIT last year with a lot of the same players they're expected to depend on this year.

I do expect that the Big East will have teams in the Top 20 - someone from among the threesome of Georgetown, Villanova, and Creighton. However, I'm known to have been wrong before.

Providence will be underrated.

Seton Hall is going to be bad. Lets hope they don't drag down the whole conference rpi with their poor play.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next Big East team doesn't show up until the 60s. This is a deep league.

Low IMO, surprised they are picked below Butler, especially after losing Jones and Stevens.

Definitely, I was even more surprised to see them below Depaul as well.

Is DePaul even in the Top 144?
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

DePaul is not in the countdown, they are probably in the late 100s somewhere.
