Shereef Mitchell - 4 star 2019 PG Creighton commit

Jays got a nice commitment from 4 star PG Shereef Mitchell of Omaha yesterday. He turned 18 last week and has reclassified to 2019.

Some long time Big East fans might remember his father, Alvin Mitchell, played for Cincinnati back in the day.

Mitchell is a score first PG and a lock down perimeter defender. His recruitment has been a bit under the radar, but his AAU summer has shown how far his game had advanced. McDermott pulled the trigger and got a commitment this week.

Most Jays fan who are familiar with him are really excited about his prospects.

I remember Alvin Mitchell. UC was in the C-USA at the time, not the big east, so it's probably only xavier fans that remember him. That's funny. Looks like a much better player than Alvin was.
