Very hesitant on this but I think that I'm willing to say Marquette is finally back.

Not very hesitant to say, but heh, heh, heh...

still don't think St John's gets ranked this week.....

From 16-25 only 2 losses.... 1 was Furman last night and they'll be out. The other was 17 Arizona St and they just beat #1 Kansas so that'll erase that in the voters minds....

looking at the 26-30 range...
Oklahoma- beat Creighton and Northwestern
Maryland- lost to Seton Hall
Kansas St- beat Southern Miss and Vanderbilt
St John's- beat St Francis NY and Sacred Heart
Villanova- beat UConn
NC State- beat Auburn, SC Upstate

so I think for St John's- it's a combo of not really much room at the inn and how impressive Oklahoma is. I suspect we'll see Nova pass St John's even.

Seton Hall might get some votes over SJU. I suspect the winner of Hall vs. SJU will get ranked.

St. John's deserves to be ranked, but won't be.

That said, St. John's, Nova, and Seton Hall will all be just outside the Top 25. At least one of them should be ranked in a week or two. Marquette will of course move up in the rankings. Really good finish for the league considering how many votes we got a month ago.

A little disappointing.

I think given how few losses were had by the teams in the bottom of the poll, it's to be expected. I mean, why would voters all of a sudden put St John's in?

Agreed, especially for the Hall to only get 5 votes. I was hoping a win over SJU next week would get the Pirates ranked, but there's no chance of that now. A SHU win would probably actually hurt the Johnnies more than it would help the Pirates.

Marquette destroyed #13 Buffalo and only moved up two spots?

Yeah, just like the past 5 years this poll is extremely biased.

Fortunately the committee knows better.

Johnnies will be ranked if they beat Hall.

part of this week was that the only teams in the poll last week that lost were #1 Kansas, #7 Auburn, #9 UNC, and #14 Buffalo. While yes, Marquette got a good win, 2 teams directly ahead of them got even better wins.... Kentucky beat #9 North Carolina, and Arizona St beat #1 Kansas.
