They gave MSU and Wisconsin a lot of trouble also, so I never expected a blowout. RU isn't over talented, but they're tough to play against. The only reason SJU handled them easily is that they were unconscious from 3 that night.

Solid win Seton Hall. Rutgers has one suspect loss @Fordham. Their other losses include Mich St, @Wisconsin, and St. Johns. They also possess a resume building win @Miami. Let me rephrase...A very solid win for The Hall.

NO ONE wins at Phog Allen, especially in OOC games, but this outcome made me nauseous. Nova is the elite of the elite, and is one of less than a handful of teams that can/should have won there.

When I saw that enemy redcoat hit that shot at the buzzer against Butler, my expletive laced tirade could be heard for miles. I loathe IU, and can't imagine how Butler fans are feeling. That was a helluva an effort which I'm sure means Jack and Sh$t right now to them. I'd be very surprised if Butler was not a single digit seed in the Tourney.

Let me preface this by saying my comments concerning Georgetown come from a position of respect and concern. My perception of Georgetown is that of a nationally/internationally recognized, elite academic institution, with a tradition rich, nationally known basketball program. A program that has suffered through some difficult times, yet still possesses a brand that few can compete with. Hence the reason why it's so frustrating to see the Hoyas lose to a team like SMU. That's akin to you(Hoyas) and Stever hitting on the same woman, and Stever going home with her at the end of the night. If that happened, I'd consider becoming a eunuch, or research the possibilities of Asexual reproduction. A team like that should be your b#tch. Hell, they should be your b#tch's b#tch. I see no reason why the Hoyas should not be recruiting right at the top, just below the likes of Duke/UK. I really hope that Ewing is the answer.

This officially ends gtowns tourney hopes. This and cuse losing again, just doesn't seem like a at large resume, smh i thought they could make a run but now we just need for nova to somehow stay in tourney consideration and for the hall to build a good winning streak and we might get 6 teams in not bad. Gtown, Prov, X, and Dpl are out.

GT may not get to the tourney, but they have a lot of room to improve with their freshmen guards. I can't believe Patrick doesn't give them the Derrickson "what kind of shot is that?" rant. McClung jacks up shots like he's Steph and he's shooting 21% on 3s. As for Akinjo, here are the current usage % leaders in the BE:
1. Markus Howard Marquette 32.8
2. Kamar Baldwin Butler 31.3
3. Myles Powell Seton Hall 29.9
4. Shamorie Ponds St. John's (NY) 27.3
5. James Akinjo Georgetown 26.5

Four GREAT players and one who thinks he is. Once McClung and Akinjo realize their team has a great player in Jesse Govan, not one of them, they might make some progress quickly.
