Creighton is bad.

Xavier is really bad.

Butler might be bad.

Im starting to sour on Creighton. That Clemson win is fading fast. I think they would sit squarely on the bubble now along with Nova, Hall, and maybe Prov. Marquette and St. Johns are the only ones sitting pretty and St. John's hasn't really played a competitive schedule. Butler I think is just barely above the bubble. Going to be a tense selection show this year guys.

Also who is Buffalo's coach was he there last year? That guy is working miracles. Xavier should have gone after him hell even DePaul or maybe even Creighton. I wouldn't mind Marquette firing wojo and going after him.

Creighton is no where near the bubble at this time. I may be overreacting after a really disappointing outing, but I have little optimism for us touching 10 conference wins this year in a down year for the BE. And, I fall just below Gtmo in optimism most of the time. It would probably take 13 wins at this point to get on the bubble, and I don't see that happening.

Not the way we are playing right now, especially on the road. We have completely melted in the first half of our two true road games. Our only hope is that, because of the youth of the team, we jell later in the year. Right now we are not very good.

With that L, you can officially count Creighton out of the dance. 0-4 in the big non-con games and the one bright spot was a win over a mediocre Clemson team. This team sucks. But hey! At least they try hard!

Last night's game was a bit of a stinker for Butler. They still got the W, but otherwise it was pretty meh. I figured there would be a hangover from the heartbreaker against IU - especially when you add in a late tip time against a low-major opponent and the fact that there aren't students on campus right now.

However, there were some bright spots. Aaron Thompson had the best game of his Butler career (18 pts, 7 asts, 3 stls - he forced his man to force 7 turnovers). Also, Jordan Tucker looks like he might be the real deal. It was only his second game, but he had 10 pts & 7 reb in only 12 minutes of playing time. I doubt LaVall will tinker with the starting lineup, but he's probably good enough to start. As he shakes the rust off, I think he could have a pretty big impact for the Dawgs going forward.

Seton Hall, St Johns, Marquette are having good seasons. We know Nova's going to be in the mix at the end. Creighton, Providence, Gtown have young backcourts with good talents and depth at other positions. It's not looking like a 6-7 bid season for the conf, but we could still put some real good teams in the tourney by the season's end.
