Villanova is 10-0 in the league, Marquette is 8-2. No one else is over .500.

If 'Nova wins, they open a 3 game lead with 7 games to play == mortal lock. If Marquette wins, things get a lot more interesting.

Who ya got?

I actually think Marquette takes this one. Villanova has been scuffling the last two games, and Marquette is coming off a home loss and needs this more. Fiserv will be rocking. Villanova is 12-1 against the Golden Eagles in the last 13 (which I was shocked to hear), but I think the bad guys take this one.

Amd think about this- if Nova wins, not only are they 3 games up, but also Nova has gotten at least 1 game from everyone, to include St John's, the probable 3rd place team. Marquette got swept by St John's of course. So Nova would likely have the tiebreaker between the teams should they split.

I think the benefit if you will of Marquette losing gets negated by Nova looking so off vs Creighton. As far as the statement that Marquette needs this more- I think that's crazy- in the grand scope of things right now for the NCAA tourney- both teams are pretty much equal. Both need this about the same. If anything, you could make the case that Nova needs it more. Currently Nova is only 3-2 vs Q1 teams. Marquette is 7-3.

If Villanova plays like they did against Creighton, and this is no offense to Creighton, if you guys were full strength you win easily, and because GTMO is my boy, but if Villanova plays like they did against Creighton, Marquette is gonna win by double digits.

Fingers crossed Villanova can find it's groove again.

If Creighton was at full strength, they would've played their usual up-and-down game and I think we win by 15 in regulation. But, point taken.

I'm fully prepared for us to win or lose by 20. I am encouraged by our offensive rebounding the last two games, as it's a weakness for Marquette.

Agreed. A month early and the BE Championship showdown already. The 2 big dogs and the little 8 this season. May the better team win. ;)

I think Quette takes this one. Both teams have so many weapons but the experience on Quette and the home venue will be enough to tilt the game to the home team.

I have 10+ family members, including my mom and dad, who are Marquette grads and I have never heard any of them use the term "Quette". Is that something people actually call Marquette?

It's like when posters on the main Rivals board call us "Villy". Makes me irrationally upset.
