Can someone explain what the relationship is between Fox and CBS? And how they choose which games get shown on Fox vs. which games get shown on FS1? Is this relationship similar to what ESPN has with the other major conferences? Thanks

CBS buys around 20 games per year from Fox. The picking order I'm not sure on as that would be in the contract. Same as ESPN selling games to CBSSN for the MAC, MWC, AAC.

I'm a fan of Big East games on CBSSN. I understand many don't have that network compared to FS1. More for the reason when CBSSN workers make their rounds on local and national radio/Sirius XM, they have worked, talked and are courtside seeing Big East Basketball. Guys like Lappas, Parrish, Zucker and such.

It’s better than the FSN broadcast we get. Tonight for Creighton at DePaul, they had a graphic that showed “#10 Marquette Bluejays”. Seriously.

I have DISH, on Fox Midwest or whatever is channel 418, at exactly 10:00 p.m. CST, with 1:01 to go in the game and Creighton trying to inbound the ball, the screen went blank with a statement saying this program is not available in your area.

So looking at the schedule, the US team is set to be on Fox all except the first knockout stage game if they win their pool. I suspect the reason they made it network subject to change is to be able to change it should the US finish 2nd in the pool.
