Not counting the Holiday Festival. They had over 10k for that against Princeton. Just Big East Games

St. John's BBall
@StJohnsBBall
#SJUBB hosted four of the five most attended college hoops games at @TheGarden this regular season!

T-1) St. John's-Villanova (19,812)
Duke-Texas Tech (19,812)
3) St. John's-Seton Hall (18,529)
4) St. John's-Georgetown (17,801)
5) St. John's-Providence (16,268)

A lot of teams played at MSG this year, including UK, Maryland, UConn, Cuse, ND, etc. Nice to know that none of them (aside from possibly Duke) can draw like the Johnnies!

The NY Post treats St. John's almost like a pro team. They show St. John's in the TV sport listings with the Pro teams. St. John's had the entire back page in the NY Post after they beat Villanova last weekend. Seton Hall gets a little less coverage. Hofstra University is having one of it's best seasons ever ( got votes in the AP Basketball poll) and St. John's and Seton Hall get all the news reports.I was a junior at St. John's the last time St. John's went to the final 4. I hope I see St. John's in another Final 4.

The SJ attendance has been very good at CA and great at MSG. You see all the fans coming out who were dormant for so long. We have a huge fanbase but it's hard to tell when we are at the bottom of the conference for 3 years. The Knicks will never be good even with Zion, KD, and Kyrie because it's in their DNA. We are treated as a pro team when we are truly relevant in NYC. Celebrities come out including Fabolous (rapper), Victor Cruz, John McEnroe, actors, etc. We are a real ticket this year. Before the Nova game there were SJ fans literally begging others for tickets...you couldn't get one and no one wanted to sell theirs. I think now that many SJ fans know that tons of other SJ fans are going to show up, it's more exciting and more fun so more people come out.

This season really shut up the UConn (another awful season and they took the cancer known as Sid Wilson so thank you!) and Cuse fans. I was nervous when the old conference broke up that we wouldn't be able to fill MSG. Well, I was wrong. The place is packed out and not just against Nova. Can't imagine what tickets would be like if it was #10 St. John's vs. #12 G'Town or something like that for first place at MSG. Great win against Seton Hall. Thought it was very petty of SHU's official twitter to call out SJ directly...they have barely any fans and 1/10 of our hype and brand. After the choke job by the ref the 1st game, this was overdue.

Nah, claiming a split last year in their hype video when they actually got swept 100% deserved to be called out lol
