everyone focusing on the Marquette/Nova game for good reason....

but the Georgetown game is maybe more important for the bubble teams. Georgetown is #74 in the NET this morning and plays #110 DePaul tonight. So a loss and they're clearly out of the top 75. That would take away Q1 wins from Marquette, St John's, Butler, and Creighton. Also, it means they're not a Q1 team for Seton Hall on Saturday, which is huge.

Nova -5? Is Howard injured or something?

Yes, but the extent of the injury is unknown. He could be fully healthy for the game or he could sit.

Weirdly enough I agree with stever. MU and Nova are playing for seeding, GU is a possible bubble outlier and even without that they are a potential Q1 boost to all of our potential tourny teams' resumes. I'm pulling for a 20 point GU win tonight.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Huge is an interesting way of saying irrelevant. Seton Hall has the quality wins it needs - what matter now is quantity/record. Whether this game ultimately falls into Q1 or Q2 will have no impact on whether or not Seton Hall gets in the tournament.

I have that Steven guy blocked. But, see his lame posts when he’s quoted. FYI thanks Will someone explain to him that the committee looks at each game on the teams resume There are only a few teams to sort through at the end. These quads just give everyone something to talk about. So, if The BE has a down year and sends 3 teams. Which it won’t. Does this dude sit on a park bench and eat a king size bag of skittles smiling to himself. It’s sad.

Agree with Hall2012. They need quantity now - not quality. They have the quality, they need the total W's to snag a spot in the 68.

Here is where I disagree with you. I think if Georgetown was Q1 end of the year, and Seton Hall beats them- that may be enough to get Seton Hall into the tourney.... That'd be 4 Q1 wins at that point.

And I totally disagree with FormulaX. The quad wins are very important now. Come selection Sunday all you hear is team x has 5 Q1 wins. that's why they're in and team y with 3 Q1 wins is out.

I would have felt better with a 10 point GU win but I guess it will probably have a minor impact overall.

So you think is SHU gets a Q1 win at Georgetown then loses its last 2 and goes 1 and done in the BET it could be enough? I wish I could be that optimistic. I think if Seton Hall wins 2 of it's next 4 games (3 reg season + 1 BET) there's a chance, 3+ is a lock, less than 2 is out.
