This has to be the most exciting Big East Tournament in a long time. Anyone can win it. The conference has been complete madness all around.

I'm going to enjoy four crazy days of basketball at the Garden. Looking forward to it

also the 1st one in a long time where there are real NCAA tourney implcations for so many of the teams. Most of the last 4 years, it's been pretty settled going into the tourney.

UPDATE- 2018-19 Oscar's Big East League (fantasy)

Championship Finals - 2018-19 Oscar's BE League

#1 Team Hoyasincebirth (87-49-8 WLT, 0 GB, 91 Pts) VS #2 Hutia-Lightning (90-53-1 WLT, 0.5 GB, 90.5 Pts)

The underdog Ltng are on the road @Team Hoyasincebirth. The Hoyas will likely have 5 players going 9 games, while the Ltng will have 5 players going 8 games.
Ltng were looking to sub out Bey for either Greg Malinowski or Kaleb Joseph to get to 9 games, but ya "gotta dance with who brung ya" and will go with Jermaine
Samuels who is a hot hand.

Hoyas are looking to roll over the Ltng as they have other recent opponents - 8-1/9-0.
Conversely, the Ltng will work to hang in there and force a 6-3/5-4 slugfest with the Hoyas.

Correction:
In checking the league records and schedules, it seems I had it backwards. The teams split their 2 meetings, both 6-3. Hoyas won in Nov. and Ltng won in Jan.
The Hoyas last lost in Period 15, on 17 Feb to the A-10 Transfers - 4-3-2 (Hoyas 3-4-2). They beat the Friars in Period 16 (6-1-2) and lastly Beast in the playoffs
9-0 this past week.
The Lightning has been on a roll since last losing in Period 13, 3 Feb to the Friars 8-1 (Ltng 1-8), and were ranked 4th at that time. Ltng have rolled the
Golden Pwr Pts 8-1, Rey Drei 7-2, Beast 9-0, and Friars 9-0 (playoffs) since 3 Feb.

Hoya lineup:
Akinjo, James
Strus, Max
Marshall, Naji
Paschall, Eric
LeBlanc, Josh

Ltng lineup:
Alexander, Ty-Shon
Booth, Phil
Hauser, Sam
Jones, Tyrique
Samuels, Jermaine

Keys: for Hoyas- need Akinjo & Strus to continue to play well, both are on and off type players.
Pillsbury Paschall needs to play up to his potential- no day off.

Keys: for Ltng- need consistency from Alexander and Hauser. Cannot afford either to disappear during the championship.
Need top performances from Booth and Samuels as both only appear in 1 game each.

Here’s the website where you can plug in your predictions for the remaining regular season games and see how the seeding will shake out for the BET.

Anyone have a relatively succinct if/then algorithm for seeding scenarios?

#1 Team Hoyasincebirth (87-49-8 WLT, 0 GB, 91 Pts) VS #2 Hutia-Lightning (90-53-1 WLT, 0.5 GB, 90.5 Pts)

Halftime Update...

Ltng started out 3-3-3 as Tyrique edged Naji by a slim margin on tuesday. The Ltng moved out to a 7-1-1 margin based on
Ty-Shon and S Hauser's good performances on Weds., but a steady Akinjo and LeBlanc, Plus a stellar performance by Strus (30/9/4 ast)
catapulted the Hoyas to a 9-0-0 lead, although close in several categories. With 4 games left for each side it should make for an
exciting weekend finale.

Team Hoyasincebirth are the Champions of Oscar's Big East League!

First, HSB began shorthanded as Naji is injured and didn't play. Huge 2nd half game from Akinjo & another steady Strus performance put this championship game to bed. Additionally, HSB held Alexander to a season low output to leave no doubts! Dominating win on all counts!

Congrats to Hoyahooligan and his Team Hoyasincebirth!
BIG EAST LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!

ESPN Bubble watch:
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... champ-week

The unique March hybrid of tumult and high stakes known as Champ Week is upon us, and Bubble Watch is so very here for all of it.

Here's a handy viewer's guide to the whole chaotic panoply. ...

Best conference tournaments for bubble drama:

1. Big East
Is this even up for discussion? You can't swing a cat at Madison Square Garden without knocking over a teeming horde of bubble teams.

Seton Hall is likely safe no matter what at this point (along with of course Marquette and Villanova), but any other team not named Butler, DePaul or Providence is trying desperately to either stay in the field (St. John's) or play its way there (Creighton, Xavier and Georgetown
