What the hell was that? Big East refs have sucked so bad this year.

+1 No dog in the fight last night, but reffing was awful. Our last home game against De Paul was the worst game I have seen in years. The refs have been outdoing themselves trying to out "make up call" each other. Very inconsistent. Lastly, object to Gumby being attacked- one of our best posters! However, if Villanova's comeuppance happens, I hope it is the Bluejays that provide it !

Don't be upset because I simply stated what each and every fan of other teams on this board thinks. BTW, you have earned the right to be cocky. (I should not have used DB, but was following up on Gumby's DB post). It is going to be sweet though, really sweet. Despite what your fans think, this is not some legacy of domination that has been bequeathed to you. It will cycle, it always does.

No one is upset and yeah, I think it's quite the opposite. I feel most others on here think we're pretty level headed and complimentary, believe me if we wanted to be cocky and arrogant you'd know it, we could channel our inner 'Cuse or UConn fandom, but we don't. Bequeathed???(that's a silly notion) Hardly, it's been hard earned through time, effort, and sweat. Every program goes through peaks and valleys, if someone comes along and replaces Nova at the top, it won't be because it's bequeathed to them it will be through hard work and effort.

My two cents,

Sure I’ve gotten into spats with Villanova fans before on message boards but that’s standard when two teams play each other so frequently. Any two fan bases in this conference have undoubtedly gotten into it at some point.

But I also personally know a ton of nova fans and grads in the New York area who are super supportive of the johnnies. They always stress how much they want St. John’s to be good because it’d make the conference so much better. When St. John’s won against nova this year, that was obviously a tough loss for nova giving up the lead, but I was shocked at how many of the nova fans were genuinely happy for me and for the St. John’s program.

I agree the Nova posters on here are the cream of the crop, excellent in every regard. If you have read the other board you know what I mean. Post after post of thank god our fans, players, and coach are not like the other teams. Part of it on my part anyway is pure jealousy, and I'm tired of Phil friggin Booth and Eric Paschal honestly as well. I also agree on the peak and valley part. It's all good man and I'm sorry to have offended Nova posters on this particular board as you guys are great. I hope you get your ass kicked tonight.

It might be a little late, but congrats to Hall on a hard fought win. Never fun to be on losing sides of these contests, but have to give credit where credit is due. Regardless of officiating, Marquette missed way too many free throws and couldn't rebound the basketball
That loss is on us, not officiating, no matter what calls were made. We missed too many opportunities to win that game.

Expecting another dog fight tonight. Good luck to both teams and, either way, we will have a great champion crowned tonight.
