There also have been a ton of blowouts and/or games that have not been close at all. Looking at the data, the average margin of victory in games played thus far is nearly 14 ppg. I have turned off more games than I can remember due to the lack of competition. There have only been four games that were decided by one possession, which is IMO, shocking. By my count, there have been 20 games deciding by 15 points or more. I'm not sure how this compares in other years, but would not be shocked if it was higher than usual

The Big 12 has fallen apart. B1G and SEC are taking people's lunch. As for the ACC their teams are up today. No upsets this year pretty lame. No Loyola this year.

I'm rooting for UC Irvine they have the only path for a double digit seed to make it to the elite eight. Virginia is always vulnerable to an upset. Liberty I mean if they can get past Vtech I honestly do not see how they can beat Duke. Oregon and Ohio State don't really count as double digit seeds if u ask me. Maybe Buffalo can make some more noise.

Bruce Pearl, Kelvin Sampson, LSU, UNC and - even though they lost last night - Kansas, all won and have advanced past the round of 64, with all but Kansas likely reaching the Sweet 16. Pearl was given a three-year show-cause penalty for lying/covering up infractions to the NCAA at Tennessee; Kelvin Sampson was given a five-year show-cause penalty for even worse infractions; Will Wade is currently on suspension at LSU for being on wire taps making a big offer to a recruit (their season will likely be taken away once the full FBI findings are released); UNC has a whole laundry list of issues on their own (none of which stuck); Kansas was/is involved in the Adidas scandal.

It's just a poor and unfortunate standard to have.

It may be a poor standard, but it one of the few we have in college hoops. Cheaters win, just ask Roy and UNC. They won a Natty 2 years ago, no penalties on 20 years of cheating and Roy's a HOF Coach.

PS: Tremont Waters. Thanks Gtwn and Val Ackermann..for your assinine rule on LOI transfers.

You'd hate to see the AAC get any glory, but seeing Duke fall would be worth it.

I can't recall ever cheering so fervently for an AAC team. Dang.

they were a perfect matchup to beat duke. you need a physical freak inside to counter theirs. not many teams have someone who can neutralize zion

So it's been all chalk except for Auburn and Oregon/UC Irvine. Pretty lame.

And a 4/5 is really hardly an upset.

only 2nd time ever that had top 12 seeds all advance and also 14 top 16 seeds advancing.

how many folks were like me hoping that their bracket busted with Duke tonight with UCF winning? I sure know I was.
