It's ridiculous to have Memphis rated higher than Nova.

prolly cause they have a proven head coach and nova doesn't. just my guess...

Please explain. Or did I miss a big announcement on Jay Wright?

This is a pretty interesting projection.. 6(Nova), 12 (Hall) 18 (X) and 19 (Creighton). No Marquette----crazy what happened there. also, I think Georgetown is going to be very good next year. Think Nova is too high at 6 for early in the season, but will be there by end of year. The conference is going to be excellent next year gang.

I thought Sam was kind of a wuss, anyway, and kid of TO prone. I think Morrow, and Theo give Marquette a much tougher inside presence, and you aren't going to put two Hausers on the floor, plus those two and Markus. You need a couple of other guys who can guard the 2 and 3 spot with Morrow and Theo on the floor. They also have Bailey, who won't shoot from outside like Sam, but I think has more ability to guard and help inside. So, I think Marquette loses quite a bit in Joey. I think it changes how they play some, perhaps going to more inside game, but with Marcus and perhaps another guard who can also create, rather than two 6'8" stand and shoot guys like the Hausers, Marquette could actually create more scoring to go with Markus. Certainly, their defense will be better, IMO.
As much as I hate Creighton not being able to put even 2 guys bigger than 6'5" on the floor at one time, I think Marquette almost had too many 6'7"-6'8" guys who didn't have the quickness to guard on the perimeter. When you need at least a couple and sometimes 3 6'0 to 6'4 or 5" guys on the floor, there isn't a lot of playing time to spread around for 6 or 7 big guys (would have had 8 6'7" or bigger with the Hausers I think -- Baily, John, Eke, Cain, Morrow, Gardiner and the Hausers). Obviously, I don't know if Eke or Gardiner are legit BE players, but that would have been 6 legit potential contributors I think even without them. That's a lot of guys for 2 spots.
then again, I didn't watch every game of theirs, so I could be all wet.
